It all started back in 1953 when the Calidonna brothers, Dominick, Frank, and John - answered a newspaper advertisement seeking a farm machinery dealer for the Clinton area. In no time at all, the brothers became representatives for Triad Tractor of Yorkville, N.Y. a Ford farm and industrial equipment distributor. The rest as they say, is history...

The three brothers soon purchased a four acre parcel of commercial property near the Meadow Street and Franklin Avenue junction. Formerly the site of the Clinton outdoor skating rink. They constructed a 100' x 70' building on the site requiring six feet of dirt to meet road level. The business quickly took off and it wasn't too long before they needed to expand. In 1959, an addition was put on to the building; by 1970, a second was added, and in 1982 a third. By 1999, the business needed more office and showroom space, so the building expanded yet again. In 2000 more floor space was provided to accommodate the rapidly growing sales department.

Today, Clinton Tractor and Implement Co. is still owned and operated by the Calidonna family. Brothers Chris and John together with sisters Regina and Rebecca, are the second generation to operate the family business.

Clinton Tractor & Implement has been the reciepient of numerous awards and commendations over the years, including the coveted 2001 Presidents Prestige Award by New Holland North America and Ferris Industries' "Number 1 Dealer in the U.S.A." award for 2001-2002. The family-owned, family-run business has over 20 employees who service and sell the company's large inventory of farm and industrial equipment including mowing machines, lawn & garden tractors, farm equipment, construction and enclosed trailers. Not only do we sell, but we also rent and repair farm equipment. We stand by all of our product lines to provide excellent customer service.
